Abstract

In this session, I will share my personal reflections on leaving academia one year ago to work at the ACLU of Massachusetts. I will facilitate an open discussion about how academics might move more to action, particularly in their local communities, taking into account participants’ specific circumstances. I will set context by highlighting some of our recent work organizing against surveillance technology in the Greater Boston area.
